Get Involved
CTK Food Share and Farm exists to use the vehicle of food to bring hope to the hungry people of Whatcom County and help volunteers become more like Jesus.
Jesus makes it clear that he takes it personally when we feed the hungry, and he has created this ministry to be a light to Whatcom County.
Our purpose speaks to our calling and points to our King:
“For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited me in…The King will answer and say to them, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of these brothers of mine, even the least of them, you did it for me.’ – From Matthew 25:35-40

Farm Volunteers
We would love to have you join us for a farm workday! We have all kinds of fun throughout the season planting, harvesting, and tending the crops. Workdays are MONDAYS and THURSDAYS from 9 am to 12 pm. No need to sign up just show up! Email farm@ctk.church if you have any other questions.
-

Pick & Picnic
We would love to have you out at the farm to enjoy time of fun and fellowship with your crew (of at least 6 people)! Pick and picnics are a two hour gathering-the first hour you will bring a picnic meal to share together. The second hour your CTK host will help your crew to do some farm work harvesting a crop for a partner or pitching in on another farm project.

Come & See Tour
Never been to the farm before? Take a Come & See tour to learn what we're up to, where to find tools, how to get involved, and after the tour spend an hour working in the fields. Best of both worlds! See upcoming dates and sign up at ctk.link/comeandsee

Gleaning Team
Did you know that over 30% of all food grown is left in fields all over the U.S.? This year we believe that God is calling us to build a team to help rescue food from local farms and backyards and distribute it to food banks. To answer this call, we need to build out a whole team.
-

Grow a Row or Gleaning Donation
If you are interested in growing a little extra for the food banks or find yourself with extra of a crop, reach out to us and we can work to find a way to get it to people who need it.
